One device, three modes

Heart. Lung. Fetal.

One 53-gram disc captures three kinds of sound, so you can hear it, save it, and share it with the person who can help.

Parent placing device on child's chest, heart-mode waveform on phone
Heart mode

Capture the heartbeat

Place the disc on the chest and record the heart sound in clear, high-fidelity audio. Hear it clearly, save it to the app, and share the recording with your doctor.

Lung mode

Record the breathing

Capture the sound of your child's breathing when a cough or wheeze has you wondering. Record about 30 seconds and share the actual sound with your pediatrician instead of describing it.

Fetal mode

Listen, and only listen

Fetal mode is a passive microphone. It only listens to naturally occurring sound and emits nothing. It is not an ultrasound. Capture the moment, save it, and share it with your OB.

How it works

Record. Hear. Share.

Three simple steps, one button, about 30 seconds.

1

Record about 30 seconds

Place the disc on the chest, back, or belly and press one button. The Skeeper Pro app captures the sound and shows the waveform live.

2

Hear it clearly

Play it back in clear, high-fidelity audio, as many times as you want. Compare it, save it to your library, and keep a record over time.

3

Share with your pediatrician

Send the recording through a secure link before or during the appointment, so your doctor hears exactly what you heard.

Optional: add a doctor-review subscription $14.99/mo

Prefer a clinician to review what you recorded? An optional subscription routes your recording to a clinician for review. It is an add-on, not required to use the device.

Why it is different

A baby monitor tells you a number. Skeeper captures the sound.

Most home baby devices watch a single vital sign around the clock and alarm through the night. Skeeper is different: you use it in the moment, then share what you captured.

Typical baby monitor Skeeper SM-300
How you use it Runs continuously all night Episodic, use it in the moment
What it captures A single number or a video feed The actual heart, lung and breathing sound
Doctor-shareable Trends, not the sound Share the recording by secure link
Alarms at night Beeps and alerts Non-alarm, it does not beep all night
Works across life stages Infants only Heart, lung and fetal modes

Think of it as a complement, not a replacement. An oxygen monitor measures a number. Skeeper captures the actual sound, the thing that number can never tell you, and lets you share it. They do completely different jobs.

From the field to the family.

I have used real gear in the back of a helicopter. This is the first consumer device I would actually keep in my own home. It captures the sound cleanly and it is simple enough that anyone can use it.

★★★★★

My toddler had a cough that sounded different one night. I recorded about 30 seconds and sent it to our pediatrician in the morning. Having the actual sound to share made the whole conversation easier.

I already have a baby monitor for oxygen, but this is the piece I was missing. Being able to hear and save the breathing sound, then share it, gave me something concrete to bring to the appointment.

As a second-time mom I wanted to hear my baby between OB visits without a fetal doppler. Knowing this is a passive microphone and not an ultrasound is exactly why I chose it. Simple and reassuring.

Questions, answered

Good questions. Straight answers.

Is it FDA-approved?
The Skeeper SM-300 is FDA-cleared, not FDA-approved. The two terms mean different things. "Cleared" means the FDA reviewed the device and found it substantially equivalent to a legally marketed device, which is the common pathway for consumer medical devices like this one. "Approved" is a separate, higher-bar pathway used for higher-risk products. Devices in this category, including popular home health devices, are cleared rather than approved.
Does it diagnose anything?
No. Skeeper does not diagnose. It records and captures the sound so you can hear it and share it with your doctor. The interpretation stays with your clinician. Think of it as a way to bring your doctor better information, not a replacement for their judgment.
Is the fetal mode safe? Is it an ultrasound?
Fetal mode is a passive acoustic microphone. It only listens to naturally occurring sound and emits nothing into the body. It is not an ultrasound and does not work like the consumer fetal dopplers you may have read about. It sits in the same acoustic-listening category as a stethoscope.
Is it HSA/FSA eligible?
It may be eligible. Eligibility depends on your specific plan, and some plans may ask for a Letter of Medical Necessity. Check with your plan administrator before you buy so you know how your account treats it.
Will my pediatrician accept the recordings?
A clean recording gives your doctor better information than a phone video or a spoken description of a cough, and you can share it by secure link before or during the visit. Every practice is different in how it uses outside recordings, so that part is up to your doctor. If you would rather have a guaranteed review, the optional doctor-review plan routes your recording to a clinician who listens to it, so you are never left interpreting it alone.
How does the doctor-review subscription work?
It is an optional add-on at $14.99/mo. When you turn it on, your recording is routed to a clinician for review. You do not need it to use the device. Many people use the Skeeper app on its own and simply share recordings with their own doctor.
